Technology and economics of uranium recovery from phosphate resources
Description
This report evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of production of uranium as a by-product, co-product, or single product from uraniferous phosphate resources. These analyses show that from 1979 until the year 2025 between 4 and 28% of the United States' projected uranium requirements could be supplied by uranium extracted as a by-product from domestic phospheric acid production. Similarly, between 7 and 19% of the uranium requirements of the world outside the Communist bloc (including the United States) could be supplied from phosphoric acid
