Extended compliance information of an ESET specimen for the environmental fatigue crack growth test of nuclear power plant piping
Description
The eccentrically-loaded single edge crack tension specimen ESET is a kind of extended CT type specimen which can exhibit advantages over other specimen types in the environmental fatigue crack growth rate(FCGR) test for the life assessment or the LBB analysis of nuclear power plant structures. In this study, we constructed an efficient testing system for thermal FCGR test, and also suggested an alterative shape of specimen with integrated knife-edge attached to the front face of the specimen and its compliance solution by using the numerical analysis
