On the mechanism of deuteron acceleration in a plasma focus

Description

Using numerical simulation determined are the physical conditions of deuteron acceleration corresponding to the energy spectrum of particles, to the range of their energies, and direction of their acceleration (from anode to cathode) obtained experimentally at the ''plasma focus'' type devices of different accumulating energy. The model is based on the known experimental facts obtained in investigation of Z-pinch and plasma focus, that is supplemented by one supposition about the incomplete capture of gas by current envelope at its drift to the plasma system axis. Calculated deuteron spectra are well coincides with the experimental data
