Digital subtraction angiography in traumatology. Visualisation of an arteriovenous fistula in neck region
Description
By means of a intraarterial digital subtraction angiography a fistula due to a trauma could be visualised between the right vertebral artery and the jugular vein. The investigation was performed one year after the car accident. Visualisation with exact localisation of the beginning of the fistula at the arterial site should make it possible to perform an embolisation without affecting the vertebral artery. The clinical condition will be decisive. (orig.)

Mittels der intraarteriellen digitalen Subtraktionsangiographie konnte eine auf traumatischer Basis entstandene Fistel zwischen der rechten Arteria vertebralis and der Vena jugularis aufgedeckt werden. Die Untersuchung erfolgte ein Jahr nach dem Verkehrsunfall. Die exakte Lokalisation des Anfangs der Fistel von der arteriellen Seite her duerfte es moeglich machen, eine Embolisierung ohne Beeinflussung der Arteria vertebralis durchzufuehren. Der klinische Zustand wird darueber zu entscheiden haben. (orig.)Additional details
