A rapid-counting spectrometer for increased sensitivity
Description
Preliminary results are presented for the application of a Kankeleit-type integrating detector system with high-activity sources of platinum-197 for the examination of absorbers with low concentrations of gold-197. A spectrum has been obtained with 0.5 mg(Au)/cm2, representing a 100-fold increase in sensitivity over normal operation. (Auth.)
