Influence of radiation on the molecular structure of natural solid bitumens

Description
The change in molecular structure of natural solid hydrocarbons(bitumens) induced by gamma radiation by doses of 10 and 100 Mrad has been studied by the method of IR spectroscopy. The content of aliphatic, aromatic, condensed and heterofunctional groups, depending on the irradiation dose is estimated quantitatively. It is shown that at high doses radiation effects give rise to formation of structures similar to graphite

Методом ИК-спектроскопии изучено изменение молекулярной структуры природных твердых углеводородов (битумов) под действием гамма-излучения дозами 10 и 100 Мрад. Проведена количественная оценка содержания алифатических, ароматических, конденсированных и гетерофункциональных групп в зависимости от дозы облучения.
