Use of thermal probe for potential measurement in vacuum and in decompensated electron beams
- 1. Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (USSR)
Description
It is shown that a thermal probe can be used to measure potential in vacuum tubes with and without an electron beam. A method is proposed for allowance for the minimization of the errors produced by field distortion from the leads of the probe. The measured fields in a mock-up of an electron source differed from the computer-calculated values by not more than 6%
