Enchanced transitions in the (n,γ) reaction to collective 3- states in nuclei near closed neutron shells
Description
Exeptionally strong primary transitions occur in the (n,γ) reaction to collective octupole states in even-even nuclei near closed neutron shells. The possible relevance of this effect to direct capture and doorway states in these nuclei is discussed. (Auth.)
