An international round robin inspection programme

Description

The paper reports on the symposium held to mark the formal completion of the second programme for the inspection of steel components [PISC II], Varese, Italy, 1987. The PISC II programme was concerned with the evaluation of non-destructive testing procedures being used or being developed for the inspection of nuclear plant. A description is given of the PISC I and II programmes, as well as the PISC II round robin tests and the data analysis. The results of the inspection programme, including the defect detection and sizing results, are presented and discussed. (U.K.)
