On the theory of oxidizing process development in boiling multicomponent melts containing carbon
Description
The development scheme of oxidation process in many-component carbon-containing alloys has been obtained which takes into account the reduction in the deoxidizino ability of carbon the deeper from the surfaces it is located in the melt. The precepts of this scheme are used to analyze the oxidation processes in Fe-C-Mn-O, Fe-C-V-O and Fe-C-Mn-V-O syste, sms. A method and formulas for calculating the maximum admissible vanadium and manganese concentrations in rimming steel ingots are proposed
