Site selection for nuclear plants

The problems of area selection for NPP and search for places for spent fuel storage are discussed. The experience of the Great Britain in area selection for NPP is considered in detail. Presented are characteristics of some islands in the Pacific Ocean with account of possible spent fuel storage on them. Considered are international projects of area selection for NPP, as well as IANE codes on ensuring safety. In selecting right disposition for NPP it is recommended to use delphy method, taking into account the ''weight'' of each factor, determining valuability and preference of this or that area
