Design of γ dose measurement system based on CW-OSL model

Description

In order to study the optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) techniques, an OSL dose measurement system was designed. Al2O3:C, the sensitive material of single dot dosimeter by Landauer, was employed as OSL detector. Preliminary test of the system in terms of background evaluation, dose linearity and minimum detectable dose was carried based on CW-OSL model. The background of this system, which has been controlled at 150 counts per second lower level, has occupied domestic leading level. After irradiated by 60Co γ source, this system showed good linearity response between 1 mGy and 100 mGy, and MDD was 1 μGy. (authors)
