Description
Public finances have run short, and it therefore remains doubtful wether fast breeder development in West Germany will be continued. The total cost of the SNR 300 breeder of Kalkar, which will be finished by 1985 at the earliest, is estimated at about DM 5,000 million at the moment. Only DM 2,000 million have been available so far. Compared with the medium-term financial planning of the Federal Minister for Research and Technology, there will be a deficit of DM 200 to 300 million per year for 5 years, from 1981 onwards. (orig.)

Da oeffentliche Mittel knapp geworden sind, ist es fraglich, ob der Schnelle Brueter in Deutschland entwickelt werden kann. Die Gesamtkosten fuer den fruehestens 1985 fertigzustellenden Schnellen Natrium-gekuehlten Reaktor SNR 300 in Kalkar werden gegenwaertig auf fuenf Millionen DM veranschlagt. Bislang wurden rund zwei Milliarden DM aufgewandt. Gegenueber der mittelfristigen Finanzplanung des BMFT ergibt sich eine Deckungsluecke ab Beginn dieses Jahres von etwa 200 bis 300 Millionen DM jaehrlich, verteilt ueber fuenf Jahre.
