Some results in computer calculation of aquatic dispersion of radionuclides released in the river

  • 1. Institut za Nuklearne Nauke Boris Kidric, Belgrade (Yugoslavia)

Description

The dispersion of radionuclides discharged in the river by the nuclear power plant, during routine releases was estimated. The estimation was performed for the purpose of siting of the Yugoslav power plant on the Danube River. For the calculation of radionuclide transport in the river, the computer program LQDIF was developed. The program is based on the steady state flow model prognosed by USNRC. Source term was specified by the GALE computer program applied to the PWR with 3400 MWt power level. (author)
