Kinetics and mechanism of reaction between Ln2O3 (Ln-Nd, Eu, Yb), CuO and BaCO3 upon synthesis of LnBa2Cu3Ox and Yb2BaCuO5

Kinetics of BaCO3 interaction with Ln2O3 (Ln-Nd, Eu, Yb) and CuO as well as phase formation sequence under LnBa2Cu3Ox and Yb2BaCuO5 synthesis within 850-950 deg C temperature interval are investigated using DTA, TGA, X-ray phase analysis and conductometric titration methods. Interaction kinetic parameters are determined. Conditions for single-phase reaction product synthesis are ascertained. 13 refs., 3 figs., 2 tabs
