Numerical Simulation of Soft Missile Impact on Reinforced Concrete Slab

  • 1. Sejong Univ., Seoul (Korea, Republic of)

Description

The impact tests, which includes force plate test, Meppen test, bending test and punching test, were conducted to provide the experimental data for the numerical verification. Although many numerical analyses were also carried out, the effect of water model on the impact loading function has been disregarded. In this study, the wet missile impact test (FP16) and the bending test (TF13) were carried out to study the following issues: - impact loading function of the wet missile on the rigid target, considering the water model (SPH model). - effect of damping coefficients to the deformation of the reinforced concrete (RC) slabs. A reliable finite element model of the force plate test (FP16) and the bending test (TF13) were developed. The FE model was verified against the experimental results. The analysis results showed that the damping ratio has a strong influence on the deformation of the reinforced concrete slab under impact loading
