Control rod positioning detector

Description
The present invention concerns a device capable of detecting insertion of all control rods simply, reliably and rapidly upon inspection and detection of control rod mechanisms. An inspection tube incorporated with an inspection lead switch capable of detecting the insertion of all control rods is attached to the control rod drive mechanism instead of a detection tube which is detached upon inspection of the control rod drive mechanisms. Then, the insertion of all control rods can always be detected and confirmed by the lead switch and permanent magnets. As a result, the number of the control rod drive mechanisms to be inspected is not limited only two, but optional number of them can be inspected. Further, removal of fuels and withdrawal of control rods are on more necessary to enhance simplification, rapidness and safety of the inspection operation. (N.H.)
