The significance of radioactive element content relationship for the exploration of sandstone uranium deposits in northern Sichuan
Description
The authors deal with a rapid and on-the-spot determination of uranium, thorium, potassium concentrations and ratios of U/Th and K/Th by using high sensitive, high stable computerized gamma-ray spectrometer in a known area of northern Sichuan. Favourable and unfavourable conditions for uranium concentration have been determined and favourable formations or lithological members have been divided by means of the relationship between element contents and their ratios. Uranium deposits of epigenetic reworking in origin have been explained by analyzing the effect of groundwater on the superimposition of uranium metallogenesis
