Description
Spin dependent structure functions of the photon are studied using the operator product expansion. There are new twist-two photon and gluon operators which contribute. The structure functions g1 and F3 are calculable in QCD, but differ from their free quark values. The corrections to F3 are suppressed by 1/log Q2. The calculation is an extension of the analysis of Witten for the spin averaged structure functions F1 and F2. (orig.)
