Binding energies of deformed nuclei

  • 1. Kinki Univ., Higashi-Osaka, Osaka (Japan). Faculty of Science and Technology

Description

First, as to the quadrupole-deformed nuclei from the light nuclei to the weight nuclei, the single-particle energies proper for their nuclei are obtained, applying their deformation parameters calculated through their electric quadrupole moments to our extended Nilsson model. Furthermore, the chemical potentials in Strutinsky method are calculated by BCS theory, and the binding energies obtained for the quadrupole-deformed nuclei have a reasonable agreement with the experimental values.
