Description
A 500-kV, 10-mA photocathode DC electron gun has been developed for the next generation energy recovery linac (ERL) light sources. A massive NEG pump system and cathode, anode electrodes are designed and installed in the gun chamber. The pressure of the gun chamber is less than 2 x 10-9 Pa. High voltage conditioning up to 380 kV was successfully performed. The cathode preparation chamber and gun chamber is connected for beam generation planned in the near future. (author)
