State of water in hydration spheres of potassium iodide

Description
Ionic hydration of potassium iodide solutions in the range of concentrations from 0 to 51 % wt. at temperatures from 288.15 to 308.15 K was studied on the basis of ultrasonic measurements and data on molar adiabatic compressibility. Structural characteristics of the hydrate complexes formed were identified. Essential role of intrinsic structure of noncoordinated water even in concentrated solutions was pointed out. Strong influence of electrostatic field of the ions on temperature dependence of hydrated water mole volume was shown

На основании ультразвуковых измерений и данных по молярной адиабатической сжимемости проведено исследование ионной гидратации растворов иодида калия в интервале концентраций от 0 до 51 % вес. при температурах от 288.15 до 308.15 К. Определены структурные характеристики образующихся гидратных комплексов. Отмечена значительная роль собственной структуры некоординированной воды даже в концентрированных растворах.
