Engineering development of material imaging system in petrochemical reactor by gamma absorption technique

Description

The imaging detection system of LLDPE (Low linier density polyethylene) has been constructed using an absorption gamma radiation method. The gamma source 137Cs puts in the centre of the process LLDPE reactor and the detectors system (I2 detectors) are installed surrounding outside of the LLDPE process reactor. The detectors systems are connected to data acquisition and a computer system is used to produce two dimensional topography profile. The advantage of this system is both non contact and on line clogging measurement of process reactor. So it can predict clogging materials in advance. (author)
