Coexistence of spin-Peierls and antiferromagnetic long-range orders in CuGeO3 doped with impurities
Description
Since observation of the spin-Peierls transition in CuGeO3 in 1993, extensive studies of this cuprate have provided not only further information on the spin-Peierls system but also a new theme in quantum spin systems. In CuGeO3 doped with impurities, a hidden antiferromagnetic long-range order appears, and a novel state is realized where the spin-Peierls and antiferromagnetic long-range orders coexist. In this article, we summarize recent studies of effects of substitution on CuGeO3. (orig.)
