Can delta(980,0+) be a broad qqq-barq-bar state
Description
It is shown that none of the arguments, presented by Bramon and Masso (Barcelona Preprint UAB-FT-79 (1981), and Phys. Lett. 120B, 240 (1983)) against the possibility of interpreting the delta(980,0+)-resonance as a broad qqq-barq-bar-state and concerning (i) the eta'→etaππ decay, (ii) the D, E→deltaπ→etaππ decays, (iii) the tadpole contributions to e.m. mass differences and mixings, is well founded, and some of them are plainly wrong. The authors also discuss Toernqvist's resolution of the scalar mesons within the quark model (Phys. Rev. Lett., 49, 624 (1982)). (Auth.)
