Zones of wave conversion at the ion-ion hybrid resonance frequencies in a tokamak
Description
Conversion zone of fast magnetoacoustic wave in slow wave is determined for tokamak with regard to rotation transformation. General approach used in the efforts has allowed to trace distribution character of conversion zones by plasma pinch cross section, to determine permitted and forbidden zones for conversion, the location of which does not depend on HF field spatial structure, to determine condition of conversion in quasiclassical approximation which is applicable for large and medium-size tokamaks
