Description
This book is a brief summary of all materials in nuclear technology. Their properties are dealt with from the aspect of practical application. Origin and manufacture of nuclear specific materials are given. In many cases, particularly concerning fuel elements, typical application descriptions explain the technical use. Numerous clarifying tables and drawings are included besides the brief text in the single chapters. Dieses Buch soll eine kurzgefasste Zusammenstellung aller Materialien und Werkstoffe in der Kerntechnik bringen. Dabei werden ihre Eigenschaften bevorzugt im Licht praktischer Anwendung behandelt. Bei nuklearspezifischen Stoffen wird auch Herkunft und Herstelllung erlaeutert. In vielen Faellen - so besonders bei den Brennelementen - machen typische Anwendungsbeschreibungen den technischen Einsatz deutlich. Neben dem knappgehaltenen Text in den einzelnen Kapiteln sind zahlreiche erklaerende Tabellen und Bilder eingefuegt. Sie sollen gerade auch dem Leser, der Werkstoffinformationen als Eingangsgroessen fuer weiterfuehrende Studien benoetigt, eine schnelle Hilfe bieten. (orig./IHOE)Additional details
