Spontaneous breaking of axial symmetry in upsilon-vortices of 3He-B
Description
New, axially asymmetrical vortex state with broken parity in 3He-B is obtained; this state has lower energy than the axially symmetrical one under low pressures. The phase transition between these two states can be only of the first order. Properties of rotating liquid associated with breaking of axial symmetry in the vortex are discussed
