Description

The streamer chamber is a visual 4π detector that has the desirable capability of being triggered to select an interesting class of events. Traditionally streamer chamber events have been recorded using standard film cameras followed by slow and tedious manual scanning of the film to extract pertinent data. A MSU/Univ. of Michigan collaboration has replaced film and its shortcomings by introducing CCD cameras to record events in digital form which can then be processed and analyzed computer. The advantages of using CCD cameras and techniques will be discussed
