e+e- → hadrons: results from the DESY-Heidelberg-collaboration

Description
Inclusive photon spectra and photon spectra for events with 4 prongs and 1 γ-ray which result from the decay of the (3.1) and (3.7) resonances are presented. The decay (3.7) → (3.1) + γγ is observed confirming earlier results of the DASP collaboration. In an investigation of 3γ final states, the decay modes (3.1) → etaγ and (3.1) → eta'γ are detected. In addition, the data indicate the existence of a new heavy mass particle at 2.75 GeV which decays into two photons. This conclusion is based on an analysis of the 3γ events from (3.1) decays combining results of the DASP and of the DESY Heidelberg collaboration. (orig.)

Es werden inklusive Photonenspektren und Photonenspektren fuer Ereignisse mit 4 Zacken und einem γ-Strahl vorgestellt, die aus dem Zerfall der Resonanzen (3,1) und (3,7) resultieren. Der Zerfall (3,7) → (3,1) + γγ wird beobachtet und bestaetigt fruehere Ergebnisse der DASP-Zusammenarbeit. Bei einer Untersuchung von 3γ-Endzustaenden finden sich die Zerfallmoden (3,1) → eta γ und (3,1) → eta'γ. Darueber hinaus weisen die Daten auf die Existenz eines neuen schweren Teilchens bei 2,75 GeV hin, das in zwei Photonen zerfaellt. Diese Schlussfolgerung beruht auf einer Analyse der 3γ-Ereignisse aus (3,1)-Zerfaellen, in der die Ergebnisse der DASP- und der DESY-Heidelberg-Zusammenarbeit kombiniert wurden. (orig./AK)
