Application of the mass action law to the sorption of radionuclides by ismailia canal suspended matter

Description

The sorption of Co-60, Zn-65, Sr-89 and Cs-134 on the Mg-or Na-form of ismailia canal suspended matter was studied. It was found that the mass action law describes well this sorption which can be regarded as an ion -exchange between the ions of the studied isotopes and Mg-or Na-ions in the solid SM. On this basis, the sorption characteristics of the suspended matter for the four isotopes were evaluated and discussed
