A study of A2 and g resonance production in π-p → K-K0p

Description

The authors present the results and the analysis of a high-statistics experiment to study A2 and g production in the reaction π-p → K-K0sub(S)p at 10 GeV/c. In each resonance region a moment analysis of the data is performed and from the moments the production amplitudes are determined as a function of t. A2 production is found to proceed dominantly by natural-parity (pomeron and f) exchange. A2 production and diffractive K*(1420) production are compared. It is found that a production proceeds by π and ω exchange; the g → Kanti K branching ratio is determined. (Auth.)
