On the effect of collector quantity on ionic flotation of niobium
Creators
Description
Optimal quantities of collecting agents (alkyltrimethylammoniUm chloride, alkylbenzyldimethylammonium chloride and preparation of primary alkylamines ΔNP-2) have been found for practically complete extraction of niobates by ion flotation (pH=5.0 to 9.0 for K2NbOF5 and pH=4.0 to 11.5 for K2NbF7). The maximum quantity of metal in sublate is in the pH range 5.0 to 6.0, which is related to the maximum polymerization of niobium compounds and the absence of competition during the interaction between niobates surfactants Under given conditions. A change is the niobate concentration in solution (8 to 600 mg/l) affects but slightly the extraction degree and is practically independent of collector type
