Results of the ultraviolet photometry of stars by means of Kosmos 215 satellite

Description

Photometric studies of stars have been made. Parallel direction telescopes with two photometers (lambdasub(max)=2740 A, Δlambda=120 A and lambdasub(max)=2275 A, Δlambda=110 A) for the entrance diafragm of 5 cm, visual field about 1 deg and relative aperture 1/3.5 were installed on the board of the ''Kosmos-215'' satellite. The satellite was not oriented, but a special damping system was used for lowering the angular velocity. The identification of stars was done with a magnetometer and two photometers which registered radiation fluxes from the stars in bands close to the B and V bands of the UBV system. Monochromatic fluxes in the wavelengths of 2740 and 2275 A have been determined for 36 stars; a comparison with other measurements was carried out for 15 stars. Data for 9 stars are in satisfactory agreement with the present measurements (within the accuracy limits of calibration and telemetry), for 6 stars a difference exists with the data obtained earlier. The dichromatic diagrams (U2740-V)-B-V) and (U2275-V)-(B-V) on the whole do not contradict the dependence found previously
