Nuclear power at cross-roads
Creators
- 1. Central Electricity Generating Board, Berkeley (UK). Berkeley Nuclear Labs.
Description
Nuclear power has reached a state of establishment. However, due attention must still be paid to economic viability, risk reduction and communication with the public. CEGB has much experience with magnox reactors, but considers the application of PWRs vital. The fast reactor offers good possibilities, but needs still much research concerning design, operation and commercial use. (author). 12 figs
