Description
It becomes interesting to investigate the EFG at Cd in the other IVB metals, i.e. Zr and Hf. The ZrCd work is reported in a companion paper at this conference. Here we present the measurement of the EFG at Cd in Hf metal. A previous attempt to measure this EFG using '''In implanted in a Hf crystal failed due to severe broadening and poor statistics.
