Measurement of environmental radiation using an air counter of a simple radiation measuring device

Description
Utilizing a simplified radiation measuring instrument (air counter), the objective is to continually measure environmental radiation by students as a subject of class. The reliability of the measured value of the air counter by the student's measuring method was verified. The measurement result in the area of 0.1 μSv/h or more was within ± 20% error as compared with the value of Hitachi Aloka TCS-172B. And it was possible to obtain a strong correlation between the measurement result of the student and the value of the surrounding real time dose system. We tried to measure and map the residential area continuously for five years. (author)
