Small compounds for targeted radiotherapy
Description
This thesis describes efforts in synthesising and investigating new tumour-seeking agents for targeted radiotherapy of malignant melanomas and bone-related cancers. The concept of targeted radiotherapy is presented, and selection criteria for therapeutic radionuclides are discussed. Emphasis has been given to the heavier radiohalogens (radioiodine isotopes and 211At) and their labelling chemistry
