Description
The complex formation of CaII, MgII, CoII, ZnII, CdII, FeIII and UO2II with histamine dihydrochloride has been studied by pH-metric and conductometric measurements at constant ionic strength (0.1 M NaNO3). Complexation equilibria with CdII and ZnII have also been studied by differential pulse polarography. It is found that both 1:1 and 1:2 metal : ligand complexes with histamine forms two complexes with CoII, ZnII, CdII, CaII and MgII, whereas with FeIII only 1:2 and with UO2II only 1:1 metal:ligand complexes are detected.
