Calculated evaluations of a possibility of the plutonium utilization and of the actinides burning in the lead-bismuth cooled fast power reactor
- 1. IPPE, Obninsk (Russian Federation)
Description
Some neutron-physical characteristics of BRUS-220 fast power reactor for the plutonium utilization and the actinides transmutation with electrical capacity 220 MWt (thermal capacity 750 MWt), cooled by a lead-bismuth eutectic alloy, were studied. It is shown that the reactor in question with the high level of the inherent safety can be successfully used in the mentioned above purposes. (author)
