Integrated nuclear diagnostics in pancreatic affections

Description
In case of disturbances of the pancreas, nuclear diagnoses can be obtained by means of qualitative, semiquantitative, and quantitative-determining procedures. Due to this fact, pancreas scintiscanning in its original way receded into the background leaving its place to those procedures which permit also to determine the function (functional scintiscanning, functional imaging) in addition to the graphical presentation of the functionable mass of pancreas and liver. Methods and clinical application of nuclear procedures and their results are dealt with in the following. Finally the development tendencies are shown. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Diagnostische Beitraege der Nuclearmedizin sind bei Affektionen des Pankreas durch Einsatz qualitativer, semiquantitativer und quantitativ-determinierender Verfahren erreichbar. Die Pankreasszintigraphie in ihrer urspruenglich geuebten Technik ist dabei in den Hintergrund getreten zugunsten derjenigen Verfahren, die neben der bildlichen Darstellung der funktionstuechtigen Masse des Pankreas und der Leber auch die Funktion beurteilen lassen (Funktionsszintigraphie, 'functional imaging'). Methodik und klinische Anwendung nuclearmedizinischer Verfahren bzw. deren Ergebnisse werden im folgenden abgehandelt. Anschliessend werden Entwicklungstendenzen aufgezeigt. (orig.)Additional details
