A method of manufacturing radioactive molten glass, and a calcination device
Description
Description is given of a method for improving the manufacture of molten glass containing radioactives substances to be eliminated. The liquid radioactive waste and pieces of glass are introduced into a moving bed calcinator, the inlet and outlet of which are heated to about 120 deg C and 400 deg C, respectively. The thus obtained calcined product is driven towards a furnace for being melted. That method can be used for processing radioactive wastes

On decrit un procede permettant d'ameliorer la technique de fabrication du verre fondu contenant des produits radioactifs a eliminer. On introduit les residus radioactifs liquides et des elements de verre dans un calcinateur a lit mobile dont l'entree et la sortie sont chauffees respectivement a environ 120 deg C et 400 deg C avant de diriger le calcinat ainsi obtenu vers un four de fusion.
