Cytogenetic study on rats in flight of the biosatellite COSMOS-936

Description
Hereditary structures in the gonadal cells of rats, which had taken part in the flight and ground experiments of the biosatellite COSMOS-936, were studied. Cytogenic analysis of spermatocytes in diakinesis-metaphase-I for the presence of chromatids and chromosomal aberrations was performed. Weightlessness produced no chromosomal changes in the gonadal cells of rats, but does not rule out the mutagenic effect of the complex factors in the space flight
