Pool type LMFBR reactor

Description

Nuclear reactor including a fuel assembly immersed in a coolant fluid, contained in a primary vessel, and a core blanket structure comprising a number of vertical tubes cross-linked by lower and intermediate perforated bedplates immersed in the coolant fluid. The nuclear reactor is characterized by the provision of a permeable shield on the upper side of the intermediate bedplate, so that the coolant fluid, which flows upward through intermediate bedplate perforations, must flow in a transverse direction on the upper surface of this bedplate, in order to reduce thermal stresses

Reacteur nucleaire comportant un assemblage combustible immerge dans un fluide caloporteur contenu dans une enceinte primaire et une structure de couverture du coeur comprenant un groupe de tubes verticaux entretoises par des sommiers transversaux perfores inferieur et intermediaire qui sont immerges dans la masse du fluide caloporteur, reacteur caracterise en ce qu'il comporte un blindage permeable recouvrant la face superieure du sommier intermediaire, de facon que le fluide caloporteur s'ecoulant de bas en haut a travers les perforations du sommier intermediaire soit oblige de se diriger transversalement sur la surface superieure de ce dernier afin d'attenuer les contraintes thermiques
