Measurements of neutron flux in the experimental channel of RA, core H

  • 1. Institute of Nuclear Sciences Boris Kidric, Vinca, Beograd (Serbia)

Description

Insertion of the local reflector in front of horizontal experimental channel A the caused the need for measuring the radiation at the outlet of the channel A before and after the change in order to determine the effect of local reflector. Mean fuel burnup value in the reactor was 2600 MWd/t before the change and 1700 MWd/t after formation of the local reflector. Apart from the mentioned measurements, there was a need to measure the thermal neutron flux i vertical experimental channels, in order to determine the possible discrepancies in comparison with former measurements. These measurements were done at the beginning of cycle for the H2 core (hot, poisoned core)
