Description

To construct the high-precision systems for phase stabilization of high-power HF fields in resonators of electrophysical installationa it is supposed to use an additional resonator (AR) shunted by a controlled load and connected to a basic resonator (BR) by means of a transformation line (TL). In this case there is a possilibity to decrease essentially delay time for a signal in the ring of automated control in comparison with traditional systems of automated phase control which use phase-rotators in channels of HF power amplification. The procedure of an initial tuning of the system of connected resonators permitting to minimize unwanted modulation of field amplitude in BR includes the choice of the electrical length of TL and the AR detuning value. Analysis of an equivalent scheme has shown that acceptable limits of phase control by the method suggested are determined by HF signal damping in TL and by the value of BR connection with TL. The control limit of 4 deg is obtained at the level of HF power in BR of the order of 600 kW. 4 refs.; 4 figs
