Intercalation and oxydation reactions as a tool for the characterization of the lattice perfection of graphites

Several natural and synthetic graphites with different degrees of lattice imperfection were studied by electrochemical intercalation as well as by total oxidation with chromic acid in sulfuric acid and with Simon reagent. There were distinct differences in reactivity. (orig.)

Das Verhalten mehrerer Natur- und Kunstgraphite unterschiedlichen Ordnungsgrades des Kristallgitters wurde bei der elektrochemischen Oxydation zum Graphitsalz sowie bei der Totaloxydation mit Chromschwefelsaeure und mit Simons Reagens untersucht. Deutliche Unterschiede in der Reaktivitaet liessen sich feststellen. (orig.)
