Design of fuel pin simulator for LBLOCA experiment

Description

The design of fuel pin simulator (FPS) used for out-of-pile large break loss of coolant accident (LBLOCA) was presented. The advantages and disadvantages were expounded for three heating methods including internal indirect heating, furnace heating and direct heating. The key design parameters such as heating power, initial internal pressure and geometry were studied. The design supplies technical basis for out-of-pile LBLOCA experiment. (authors)
