Preferential dissolution mechanism for intrinsic components in cadmium sulfide
- 1. Moskovskij Inst. Stali i Splavov, Moscow (USSR)
Description
Dissolution mechanism for excessive intrinsic components and the point defect influence on the properties are investigated on CdS monocrystals grown at different pressures of S and Cd vapor. Based on the results of X-ray topographic investigations a conclusion is made concerning the types of solid solutions produced by intrinsic components in CdS. It is shown that under the deviation from stoichiometric composition in the direction of cadmium excess lattice period reduction occurs as a result of subtraction solution production. Under the deviation in the direction of sulfur excess, a solid introduction solution is produced without changing the lattice period
