Description
The possibilities of radioisotope diagnosis of malignant tumors of the thyroid gland by use of 67-galium citrate were studied. The study group included 107 patients with miscellaneous nodular formation in the thyroid. They were subjected to scintigraphy with 131I, 125I or 99sup(m)Tc-pertechnate and then repeated scintigraphy with 67-galium citrate on ''Scinticart Numeric'' apparatus and ''Sigma 410'' gamma-camera in dose 55.5 - 74 MBq. The scintigraphic result matched the histologic finding in 75.7 per cent of the patients with thyroid cancer. (authors)
